NEW REVIEW! Born of Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Published by tnicnat at 1:21 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Word of warning, this book is dark. It takes place in a violent future, with inter-planetary space travel and alien races. The characters have survived tormented, violent pasts which are explained, sometimes in detail. So be warned if you are looking for humor, light romance.

Nemesis is a good guyeven if he is baddest assasins known in the universe. His formative years are right up there with Dark Hunters.  The heroine, Kiara, is a ballet dancer of the first order and one of her secret fans is Nemesis. That’s unlucky for him when her father hires him to guard his daughter who happens to be, his secret love,  Kiara. How can he say no when he is well aware he’s probably the only one in the universe that’s capable of keeping her alive? The bad guys are numerous, they are evil and hot on their trail, but that doesn’t mean there’s no time for intimate conversations, some shopping and dinner. I love that about Kenyon’s books, take the worse situation the hero and heroine are in and bring in some normalcy.

The supporting male characters are yummy as usual. Nemesis needs every friend he has, they all help keep Kiara safe from her father’s enemies and keep himself from endangering Kiara with his own set of enemies.

This book is a perfect mix of danger, lovers angst, and light hearted silliness that I’ve come to expect from this author. Nemesis is right up there with the most loved Dark Hunter heroes.

 Highly recommended!
