NEW REVIEW! Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas
I must admit that the first two Hathaway books were not at the same level as Kleypas’ Wallflower series. This new Hathaway story, which pairs quiet sister Poppy with the incredibly sexy and callous hotel owner, Harry Rutledge, sees Ms. Kleypas back in top form, and now I’m looking forward to the next books in the series.
Beautiful Poppy, one could say the most “normal” of the eccentric Hathaway clan, is in love with a viscount’s son, Michael Bayning. She sees the ever so conventional Michael as her ticket to a quiet, ordinary life, without the drama as the rest of her family. There is one problem Michael’s aristocratic father who doesn’t see Poppy as good enough for his son. While chasing a runaway ferret (Beatrix’s pet, Dodger) through the halls of the magnificent Rutledge Hotel, Poppy finds a hidden passageway in the hotel which puts her straight into the arms of the handsome Harry Rutledge, the mysterious American. The story unfolds, showing how Poppy and Harry ultimately marry, and how Harry learns what it is to love, is a classic, page-turning story by Ms. Kleypas. Harry isn’t quite as devilish as we’ve already experienced with Viscount Sebastian St. Vincent, but he’s a close second. Kleypas fans will love every idea Harry has to have and do to lure Poppy into marriage. The steamy sex scenes are delightful, and then when love blooms, the reader will be satisified with the outcome.
We highly recommend this book for all romance fans.
